Skyscraper

11111 (1).png

The structure we choose for our skyscraper is the concrete tube and outrigger structure. Our group has taken the One World Trade Centre in New York as an example to design our structural system. We are using tilted RHS columns along with the edge of our building and having outrigger and belts at mechanical floors to resist lateral forces.

The crown structure was designed to have offset edges at the top of the tower and using the columns and Triangulated Space Frame to support the façade. The Space Frame was used as it was light weight and can span a long distance.

The podium was also using Space Frame to support the façade which will also ensure the lights go through the roof.
